Another First!

Dylan's first experience with cereal was on Oct 21!! I made it a bit too watery this first time, but that didn't seem to bother Dylan...

Lots of "Firsts"

Last Sunday we took Dylan to the local pumpkin patch to pick out his first pumpkin. Of course he wore his pumpkin socks (thank you Aunt Lisa, Katie, and Gracie!) My two handsome guys getting psyched to pick some pumpkins.

What the heck are these things!?

One for mommy, one for daddy, one for me...
Family photoWhile we were picking out our pumpkins we realized Dylan may have been a little under dressed and that it might be time to get him some warm winter gear. So I went out later that day and bought him his first coat and his first pair of shoes. The coat's a little big (and puffy!) but Dylan thinks it tastes just fine!
Tim also set up his high chair that day so he could get used to it before we start solids (soon!). The highchair came with lots and lots of toys to keep Dylan occupied while mom and dad eat. Dylan is pretty happy with it.

Handmade by Nonna

Before Nonna went home on Monday, she got to spend a little quality time with Dylan. We dressed him in the little hat and vest she made for him. How cute is he?

Dylan's Christening

Last Sunday Dylan was Christened at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. On that same day, he turned 5 months!

His Godparents are Aunt Lisa and Uncle Dave. Uncle Dave tried to be funny and arrived at our house with a goofy mustache - just to freak me out. Don't worry, he shaved it off before we left for the church. Aunt Lisa with her handsome Godson. How cute/silly is that little hat!?

Mimi, Papa, Dylan, Mommy, Daddy, and Nonna. We had some friends and family back to our house after the big event. Our amazing next door neighbors lent us their tent just in case it rained. But we lucked out with a gorgeous fall day!
Thanks to my cousin Jeff for bringing the bouncy house! The kids in this family love that thing.

The kids also had tons of fun running around the yard...that's Kieran (my cousin Jeff's son), Matthew (my cousin Michele's son), Katie, and Isabelle in the background.

Of course Dylan's friend Cy came to celebrate with us!Thanks to Uncle Ben for taking so many amazing pictures! He, Aunt Emily, and Sophia drove all the way from Syracuse to be with us. Here is Ben with his little sweetie pie, Sophia.

Weekend in Weedsport, Part II

On Sunday morning, we woke up and took a short trip to see Papa Scott. Since Papa Scott was still getting over a cold, he didn't get to hold Dylan, but Dylan sure had fun playing with all the toys at his house!! Poor Nana Wendy missed all the fun - she had to work:(

When we got back to Nonna's house, GGMum came over for a visit!

The next day before we left, Nonna got in some last minute quality time...

See you again in 2 short weeks!

Weekend in Weedsport, Part I

Last weekend we headed to Weedsport for a wedding and to meet Dylan's new cousin, Sophia. When we got to Nonna's house, Uncle Ben, Aunt Em, and Sophia were waiting for us. Here are a couple pictures of Dylan and Sophia meeting for the first time...

Here's Nonna, enjoying some QT with her grandson, whom she missed so much!Soon after getting to Nonna's, we all headed to Doug and Nicola's wedding, just down the road.

Doug with his twin brother, Jim.
Sophia, snuggled up to her mom.
And hanging out with her Uncle Tim.

I guess she likes him!

Dylan, showing us that he likes snuggling with his Mommy too. I love my little snuggler...Dylan trying to eat the table...

...and grab the flowers...

...and just looking handsome while Daddy gives him kisses.

Hangin' with Cy...

Last weekend we took another trip to Cy's grandparents' house on Candlewood Lake. In addition to Adam and Maya, our other friends, Pete and Mary-Jo were there. Dylan LOVED Pete (wish I had gotten a pic of Dylan just staring at him - we forgot our camera, so these pics are from Maya and Adam's) and I think Mary-Jo had fun playing with the babies:)

"Hey Cy! Pay me attention! We drove an hour to get here - and you know how I feel about my carseat!"

"Look, Cy! I can stand just like you!"

"Okay, that's enough attention, Cy."

"Mom? Mom? I think Cy might be trying to eat my face! And who is this lady holding me?"
"Woah Mommy, that was a close one...When can we come back?"
