No Special Occasion

Last weekend Mimi, Papa, Aunt Lisa, Katie, and Grace came up for a visit just because they love us. Ok, because they love DYLAN. Anyway, we all had a fun day! Dylan was very eager to share his toys with them (awesome hand me downs from Nonna's attic!)

Katie, looking beautiful and all grown up!Gracie, looking cute and slightly mischievous!

The girls, showing off their Valentine's Chinchillas, which Nonna had brought for them the previous weekend. Thank you Penny!!What a good helper Katie is!

Apparently, all that helping made for an exhausting day!

Nonna's visit

Last weekend Nonna came to wish us all a Happy Valentine's Day! She arrived on Saturday morning and couldn't wait to get her hands on her grandson!

Later, we got bundled up and went for our first family trip to the playground - thanks to Nonna for taking so many pictures!

On Sunday, Dylan had his first piano lesson with Nonna!

What a fun weekend!

9 months old!

Dylan has met the all-important milestone of having officially spent as much time in the "outside world" as he did on the "inside" (although anyone who has ever been pregnant knows that pregnancy is a bit more than 9 months). Recent accomplishments include standing (while holding onto a table), eating yogurt and lots of finger foods (Cheerios, potatoes, peas, etc.) and being as cute as ever. He's working on his top two middle teeth (Dr. says they're ready to pop!). We're also working on clapping, waving, pointing, crawling, walking, talking, swimming, singing, dancing, playing piano, and not eating paper! So, stay tuned for big accomplishments next month!

Cheerios!

Dylan had his first encounter with Cheerios on Wednesday. I think he likes them:)

Sunday at Mimi and Papa's!

This Sunday we visited Mimi and Papa (who had just gotten back from a CRUISE - no fair!). Dylan loves getting to play with "new" toys...

Katie and Gracie love to hold Dylan...
...and to dress him up in pink!

Dylan felt a little better about the situation once he saw Daddy was playing too.

Barbie, uh, I mean, Katie

Upstate again!

Last weekend we had a great 3-day getaway to visit Tim's family! The car ride went smoothly, without any major scream fests (yay for Dylan!). Although he only slept for 1/2 an hour of the 4 1/2 hour drive, he spent the rest of the time happily playing, eating, and looking out the window.

We had a successful dinner out at a Hibachi restaurant in Syracuse. Dylan and Sophia loved watching the chef, although they both cried when he lit the vodka on fire! Dylan and I accompanied Aunt Em and Sophia to an info session on baby signs - which was a good reminder to me to be more consistent with signing. We spent a wonderful afternoon at GGMum's, where we ate a delicious dinner. And we had a cozy, lazy Sunday morning before driving home. Dylan slept great both nights and did great again in the car on the way home!

Here are some pics from GGMum's house...

Happy baby & happy daddy

"Dylan, what is that thing? I'm scared!"
"Chill, Sophia, it's just the ceiling fan...I love these things..."

"See? It goes around and around and around...and there is a light on it too!"
"Oh, yeah, that's pretty cool..."

"Seriously, can you put the cameras away now?"
