Dylan's First Thanksgiving

This year, we went upstate to spend Thanksgiving with Tim's side of the family. We did lots of visiting and Dylan just loved all of the action.
We drove up Thanksgiving morning and spent the holiday with Nonna, Uncle Andrew, Sophia, Uncle Ben, Aunt Em and her family in Syracuse. Because Uncle Ben's fancy camera was never far from his hands, we left the picture-taking to his artistic eye. We're waiting for him to send us some, so in the meantime we stole these 3 pics from Sophia's blog. Shhh, don't tell.
Here's Nonna spending some quality time with Sophia.
And Uncle Andrew chillaxin' with Dylan.
For dessert we went to Great Aunt Cindy's (Nonna's sister) where we saw GGMum and some of Tim's cousins - and ate yummy pie. After the long day, we headed back to Uncle Ben's and Aunt Em's house, where Tim, Dylan and I spent the night in Sophia's beautiful (and enormous) nursery. The next day, we relaxed and spent some quality time with Ben, Em and Andrew while the cousins played and slept. We have no pics...because we were lazy with the camera...
On Friday night we busted out our own camera! And we visited Poppa Scott and Nana Wendy for dinner. Also there was Wendy's son, Marc, and his two sons Aiden and Ethan.

Here's Aiden showing us all his toys.
And here's Wendy with Dylan and Ethan in the swing. She just loves snuggling with her grandbabies!
After dinner, we headed back to Nonna's house. We woke up on Saturday morning and Nonna got to dress up Dylan in some special accessories she had been saving for him. First, check out those Mickey suspenders - they used to be Tim's!
And that's another hat handmade by Nonna. We decided not to trim the pom pom but can't decide which we like better: the French beret style...

...or the Pope's funny hat look.
Once he was all dressed and ready to go, we headed to Bass Pro Shops where there is a HUGE aquarium with tons of giant fish. Since Dylan likes to look at the fish in our tank and the tanks at Nonna's house, she figured this would be a great activity for him. And she was right!
Here he is checkin' out the fishies......and checking out the trains in Santa's workshop.
"Yes, Dylan, of course you can sit on Santa's lap"
A serious conversation between Dylan and Santa...
When we got back to Nonna's house, Uncle Ben, Aunt Em and Sophia came over to have dinner with us. And the cousins got to play with Nonna. Here's Nonna teaching Dylan to be gentle with his little cousin, Sophia...

We had such a fun weekend! Can't wait to see everyone again soon!
