Memorial Day Weekend, Part I

We spent Memorial Day weekend upstate with Tim's family for GGMum's family reunion. We arrived late Friday night. We were all pretty frazzled from a terrible car ride. Dylan was NOT happy about being strapped into his carseat at bedtime. Plus, as we later found out, he was probably not feeling so great, either. He had had his MMR vaccine about 10 days before and wound up getting a fever while we were away (the doctor had said this might happen). Poor little guy...

Dylan was super sleepy at that point so I dropped off Tim and kept driving so Dylan could sleep in the car. Well, for a little boy who generally doesn't sleep much in the car, he did a great job...He slept for TWO hours! I should have realized he wasn't feeling well. I just drove and drove, thinking he would wake up any minute! I got to know the Auburn and Skaneateles area quite well. Thank goodness for our GPS.
