St. Patrick's Day festivities

I don't think I had ever been to a St. Patrick's Day parade before this year. Then this year, we went to two! The first was a local one in Peekskill that we went to on a whim, when my friend, Kathleen suggested that we meet her and her kids there. Kathleen is the friend that I "babyshare" with - I watch Jack (three in May) and Kaleigh (17 months) on Monday afternoons so she can work and she watches Dylan and Nora on Thursday afternoons so I can work. Here we are with all four kids (Tim's taking the pic). Later, Kathleen's husband, Billy, met up with us and the 8 of us stormed a local restaurant for a few beers (for us) and dinner (for the kids). It was a fun, last minute day out!

The next day we drove out to my sister’s in Center Moriches (on Long Island) to celebrate Papa’s birthday, which was the next day, and to march in her town’s St. Patrick’s Day parade. Dylan and his cousins all got to ride on the Safari Adventure float (which was really just the back of a pick-up truck)!

Kieran (my cousin, Jeff's, son), Katie, Scarlett, and Dylan:
Grace, Isabelle, and Maggie (Jeff's daughter):

Nora rode in Aunt Lisa’s jogging stroller...but only for a little while. It was cold out there and I wound up taking her back to Lisa’s for a nap while Tim “marched” behind the float.

Later, back at Lisa’s, Dylan refused to take off his Safari T-shirt or his coat and so continued to resemble a mini football player.

It was pretty chilly but sunny enough for the kids to play outside for a bit before dinner. Nora enojyed her first real swing ride!

All the Frisone cousins (some more willingly than others!): Dylan, Katie, Nora, Grace, Isabelle, Madeleine, Scarlett, and Brian!Happy Birthday to Papa! (and to me, too:)
